March 8 marked International Women’s Day 2024. This year, UN Women honors global gender equality achievements and efforts under the theme "Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.". At the same time, the entity urges all parties to expand investment in gender equality to unlock women's economic potential and create a more equal and sustainable future.
In the press release titled "Empowering Women for a Sustainable Future," published by the National Council of YWCAs of China, it states, "We are devoted to women, especially the young, assisting to solve the urgent needs of them so that they can have a space for empowerment and development, where they can play a role in economic output and social public fields, and jointly build a sustainable world with peace and justice, dignity, and equality for all."
In recent years, the association has fostered the development of female talents in rural areas and shared positive stories about Chinese women's ongoing self-improvement and balance of strength and gentleness on international communication platforms.
On such a special day, the National Council of YWCAs of China and the National Council of YMCAs of China both expressed the highest respect and best wishes to women dedicated from all walks of life.
