A research and practice center for the contextualization of Christianity was established in Hainan Province.
On April 14, an exchange seminary on developing Christianity in the Chinese context was conducted at a hotel in Haikou with Rev. Shan Weixiang, vice president and general director of the China Christian Council, as the guest speaker, reported Hainan CC&TSPM.
Immediately after the seminar, the plaque for the center was unveiled. Li Zhengxiang, chairman of the Hainan Provincial CC&TSPM, signed the "Supplementary Agreement on the Commission Research on the History of Christianity in Hainan" with the Center for the Study of Religion and Chinese Society, Shanghai University.
Established by the Hainan Provincial CC&TSPM, the center is a theoretical research and practice platform for the indigenization of Christianity with Hainanese characteristics. It focuses on in-depth exploration and research on the sinicization of the management system of Chinese churches, the liturgy, preaching, hospice care, and social services in China. It also explores the "four entries" campaign (referring to the national flag of China, the Constitution, laws and regulations, core socialist values, and fine traditional Chinese culture introduced into religious venues).
On the same day, Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairman of TSPM, was invited to a lecture hall at New Grace Church in Yiwu, Zhejiang, explaining the connotation and main features of the sinicization of Christianity, said CCC&TSPM.
Besides emphasizing the study of the origins of the indigenization of Christianity in China, Xu introduced the practical experience of promoting Christianity in the Chinese context and the direction of future efforts for the sinicization of Christianity.
Pastor Xu also answered questions from the members of Yiwu CC&TSPM, sharing his reflection and practical experience in promoting the further contextualization of Christianity in China.
On April 14, the Qingjiangpu District CC&TSPM held a symposium to discuss how to further promote the sinicization of Christianity in the Qingjiangpu and enhance the churches’ adaption to socialist society, according to Huaian CC&TSPM.

上午，“海南省基督教中国化交流研讨会”在海口市一家酒店举行。中国基督教协会副会长兼总干事单渭祥牧师担任主讲嘉宾。
研讨会后紧接着举行“海南省基督教中国化研究与实践中心启动与揭牌仪式”。省基督教两会李正翔主席与上海大学宗教与中国社会研究中心签署《海南基督教史研究委托补充协议》。
海南省基督教中国化研究与实践中心是海南省基督教两会创立的一个具有海南特色的基督教中国化理论研究与实践平台。“研究与实践中心”的主要任务是基督教堂点管理制度中国化、礼仪中国化、宣讲中国化、临终关怀中国化、社关服务中国化以及“四进讲堂”(“四进”活动的内容为：中华人民共和国国旗进宗教活动场所、宪法和法律法规进宗教活动场所、社会主义核心价值观进宗教活动场所、中华优秀传统文化进宗教活动场所)普法项目等诸多方面进行深入探索和研究。
据中国基督教两会，4月14日，中国基督教三自爱国运动委员会主席徐晓鸿牧师受邀在在浙江省义乌市基督教新恩堂 参加基督教中国化大讲堂。
徐晓鸿牧师论述了基督教中国化的内涵及主要特征。徐牧师强调要研究基督教中国化的源起，介绍各地基督教推进基督教中国化的实践经验和基督教中国化未来努力的方向。
徐晓鸿牧师还回答了义乌市基督教两会班子成员的问题，分享了自己在推进基督教中国化方面的心得体会和实践经验。
