The Amity Foundation launched the “Anti-Cancer Kitchen Support Program” and started to recruit partners.
In recent years, anti-cancer kitchens have appeared near major hospitals in many cities to provide cooking places for families who are fighting cancer. The new program, which is jointly launched by the Amity Foundation, a bank, and another charity foundation, is aimed at supporting 10 more anti-cancer kitchens that are capable of long-term operation, reported the foundation on March 10. The program will provide financial support to alleviate their financial pressure and also give operation education.
The foundation noted that “If you are running a shared kitchen that provides cooking space for patients and their families who are seeking medical treatment, or you are willing to recommend an anti-cancer kitchen nearly, you can submit an application or offer information to us.”
The application is open from now until March 31. The anti-cancer kitchens should be able to accommodate more than five groups of families at the same time and support no less than 300 people per month on average. It’s better for them to be within three kilometers of Tier 3 hospitals.
