On October 14, 2017, the Wuhan YWCA (the Young Women's Christian Association) held a first aid training for more than 220 nursing staff of a local nursing home.

A team of over 10 people, including experts and volunteers from Tongji Hospital, a renowned 110-year-old hospital, were instructors.

Professor Jiang Hanying, a board member of the Wuhan YWCA, instructed the nurses on how to release psychological pressure, scientific psychological adjustment, and correct emotional guidance; she also explained the prevention and treatment of common diseases in the fall and winter like coronary heart disease and hypertension in detail.

Lin Rongjin from the Red Cross Society of China and American Heart Association showed how to perform CPR ( cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) within four to six minutes,  give first aid for accidental traumas, and deal with obstructions or foreign matter in a respiratory system.

The team also offered a free clinic to the participants, measuring their blood glucose, blood pressure, eyesight, and giving suggestions on medicine usage and diet.

Moreover, the Christian association sent regular medication worth about 10,000 yuan to the nurses.
