On its official WeChat account, the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Jiangsu Province released a notice on March 16, stating the exam which was scheduled to be conducted in Nanjing in mid-March would be delayed to ensure the health and safety of the exam participants and the staff, following the COVID-19 prevention and control guidelines of the local authorities.
The content of the exams covers laws and regulations related to religious affairs and other content and religious knowledge, according to the notice issued by the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Jiangsu Province on February 28.
Released by the State Administration for Religious Affairs on December 3, the Administrative Measures for Internet Religious Information Services came into effect on March 1, requiring that religious groups should apply to provincial departments of religious affairs before sharing information on the Internet.
It added that the specific time and examination method will be released in due course.
