A fund initiated by a Liaoning pastor will financially aid children and sponsor a school to hold its sports meeting.
On September 28, the Loving Angel Fund announced that it would provide financial aid to 50 children from needy families and fully sponsor a school to hold its sports meeting, which had not been held for many years due to lack of funds.
Pastor Ren Chuanyu, also a well-known philanthropist from Liaoning, initiated the "Loving Angel Fund" of the Liaoning Public Welfare Foundation, and other participants included charitable individuals from Shenyang, Dalian, Anshan, Yingkou, Liaoyang, and other cities in Liaoning.
On that day, some participants donated 5,000 yuan, some donated 10,000 yuan, and some donated books and other materials. The family of Pastor Ren and his wife, Pastor Bai Yu'e, donated more than 150,000 yuan that they had saved.
Pastor Ren serves a church in Liaozhong District. For more than ten years, Ren who so far adopted 86 orphans, has persevered in public charity and donated nearly 10 million yuan over the years.
Pastor Ren named the first school library established under the "Caring Libraries in 100 Liaoning Rural Schools Program" as "Chuanyu Library", and announced the establishment of the "Chuanyu School History Museum" and the full sponsorship of the first school sports meeting since its opening.
Other projects were also introduced at the event, including Chinese calligraphy, painting, singing, dancing, sports activities, science and technology, and the "Learn from Lei Feng" Learning Center. An additional donation of 25,000 yuan was used to purchase other necessary teaching materials and supplies, including copy books and writing brushes, and supplies for the school's first sports meeting, including teacher uniforms, referee uniforms, basketballs, volleyballs, and table tennis tables.
