Testimony: Jesus is the Light in the Darkness

刘姊妹今年四十多岁，有一个儿子，前年在当地县城一所中学做了高中的教师，今年又考上了江苏某大学的半职研究生。很多人看到这样的结果会羡慕，毕竟孩子工作稳定，身体健康。其实她也经历过人生中的低谷，但主带领她走出来了。

刘的丈夫原先也是一位教师，当年是该县最好的中学教书。刘是饭店的小领班，虽然人没有什么文化，但从小是在镇上长大的。但后来她丈夫查出肝癌，在最后的时间里，刘姊妹辞掉了工作，悉心照顾丈夫。那时候她丈夫也只不过30岁左右，那段时间，她真是没日没夜。本来她丈夫是不信主的，他爸妈都信，后来附近教会的弟兄姊妹就来给他做祷告，他也慢慢信了。虽然最后他还是离开了世界，但很安详，没有惧怕。

刘说，虽然她知道丈夫离开只是时间的问题。但当他真离开了，自己真是不适应，心里莫名的悲伤。那个时候，儿子只有10岁。她想哭，但不敢在儿子面前哭，怕儿子也想起这事来。她不愿自己的儿子受一点苦，更不愿因为爸爸离开了就比别人少什么。但她有公婆和孩子的两个姑姑帮衬，自己又做了两份工。所以，日子还不错。但心里的苦却是没有人帮得了的。

刚开始的时候，夜夜哭，一人背着儿子偷偷流泪。幸而有上帝，她向上帝祷告，求主背负自己的重担。随着儿子慢慢长大，儿子心里的苦她也帮不了，每次都不能提到“爸爸”这两个字，一提到这两个字儿子就会突然急躁，发脾气。

所以，她她天天祷告，疯狂祷告。有时候半夜醒来，她也要祷告。求主为他们预备以后的路。

丈夫离开十几年了，儿子工作了也是教师。她知道这是上帝在垂听她的祷告，做丈夫未完成的事。不但如此，儿子虽然不是常常去聚会，但心里有主。有时候也会去教会，甚至还会在别人面前为主捍卫：“这个世界有神，在我身上就有上帝的恩典。”

Sister Liu is now in her forties. She has a son who started to work as a high school teacher in the county she is living in the year before last, and his son also becomes an on-the-job postgraduate student at a university in Jiangsu province this year. Many people may think that Sister Liu is lucky enough to have such a healthy and promising son. Actually, she has been through the rock bottom of her life, but God has led her out of it with his grace.

The husband of Liu was a teacher who worked in the best middle school in this county. Sister Liu was a head waiter at a restaurant. She has little education and grew up in the town. But later, her husband had liver cancer. When her husband became very sick, Liu quit her job and took care of him every day. At that time, her husband was just about 30 years old. Liu took care of her husband every single minute. At first, her husband didn't believe in the Lord, while his parents were believers. Later, the sisters and brothers of a nearby church came to visit him and prayed for him. Gradually, he became a believer. He died in the end due to cancer, but he died peacefully, with no fear at all.

Sister Liu said that she knew that soon her husband would leave her, but when that day really came, she still couldn't suppress the sadness in her heart. At that time, her son was only 10 years old. She wanted to cry, but she didn't dare to cry in front of her son because she was afraid that it might remind him of the death of his father. She didn't want her son to feel sad for anything, nor did she want him to feel that he was inferior to others because of the death of his father. Luckily, her parents-in-law and two sisters-in-law helped her a lot, and she got two part-time jobs. She continued to lead a relatively comfortable life, but nobody could ever take away the sadness in her heart.

At first, she would cry every night when she was out of her son's sight. Luckily, she is a believer. She would pray to the Lord and beg the Lord to carry away her sadness. Over time, her son matured, but unfortunately, the challenges he faced were beyond her ability to resolve. Every time she mentioned the word 'father', her son would be mad and lose his temper.

So she prayed every single day like crazy. Even when she suddenly woke up at night, she would pray to the Lord and beg the Lord to pave the future road for them.

Now her husband has passed away for more than ten years, and her son has become a teacher, just like his father. She knows that the reason for all of this was that the Lord listened to her prayer and granted her son the ability to continue the cause of his father. Though her son doesn't often attend the church gatherings, he still believes in the Lord. Sometimes he would go to the church and defend the Lord. "God really exists in this world. My life experience is a vivid demonstration of the grace of the Lord!" she confessed.
