The third International Seminary on Religions and Ecological Civilization has taken place virtually.
With a theme entitled “Harmonious Coexistence between Human and Nature”, the seminar was co-hosted by the “China Committee on Religion and Peace” (CCRP) and “Religions for Peace International” on December 21, according to CCC&TSPM.
Rev. Wu Wei, associate president of CCRP, read out the written speech of Pagbalha Geleg Namgyai, vice-chairman of the “National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference” and president of the CCRP. It mentioned that Chinese President Xi Jinping had pointed out that human beings should cooperate to meet the challenge of climate change and the protection of the earth.
In his speech read by Gu Mengfei, deputy secretary-general of the CCRP, Rev. Xu Xiaohong, associate president of the CCRP, indicated that Chinese Christianity has continued to explore and collate the ecological and ethical thoughts in the Bible while promoting theological thinking and attempting to enhance the ecological and civilizational literacy of Christians. Meanwhile, CCC&TSPM will advocate, encourage, and support churches and meeting points to carry out various environmental protection projects.
The symposium was attended by more than 60 religious representatives, experts, and scholars from nearly 20 countries in Asia, America, Europe, Africa, and Oceania, covering Buddhism, Taoism, Islam, Catholicism, Christianity, Judaism, and Hinduism.

来自亚洲、美洲、欧洲、非洲、大洋洲的近20个国家的宗教界代表人士、专家学者等60多人出席会议,涵盖佛教、道教、伊斯兰教、天主教、基督教、犹太教、印度教等。
