Recently, during an interview with Christian Times, an online Chinese Christian newspaper, K shared his own testimony of God’s grace and how he overcame the sin of living together before marriage.

In the library, when I was looking for a seat, I met a female classmate who treated me in a very sincere manner at that time. When she introduced the Bible to me, at that moment I thought Christianity was just “spiritual opium” as described in some books. But later, when I got in touch with her again, she preached the gospel to me. On Christmas Day in 2001, I went to attend the Christmas gala at her church and sang hymns together with her. When I graduated from college, she gave me a copy of the Bible. Just then I knew it was good, but put it aside without looking at it again. Right before graduation, she finally said to me, "When you encounter difficulties in the future, you can go to church for help." After that, we lost contact for years.
After graduation, I moved to a new city. When my business failed, I called her and she comforted me on the phone, saying that “a joyful heart is a good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones” (Proverbs 17:22). I asked her to say it a few more times, because when I listened to these words, I felt so sweet in my heart, and I easily memorized them.
Then, I started looking for a church. Miraculously, I was given a gospel flyer in my residential complex shortly after. Later, when I listened to the hymns in a church, I felt my soul was cleansed and became joyful and peaceful, even though I could not understand the sermon at the time. In about a year, I had a basic understanding of faith.
Subsequently, a new employee at my company told me she was a Christian and introduced me to her church, in which believers had more intimacy than in the Three-Self church I attended before. Church family members would have afternoon tea together sharing beliefs and life experiences.
Before I turned to Jesus, I had the sin of living together before marriage. At that moment, I was moved to disconnect from this sin. After trying several times, I asked to break up with my girlfriend but failed.
One day, when I made up my mind to break up with her, she put a knife on my neck. I said, "It doesn't matter if you kill me. First please allow me to kneel down and finish a prayer.” I prayed: “Lord, I don't want to offend you. If I die like this, I hope that I will die without sins. I belong to you when I am alive as well as dead." As soon as the prayer was ended, my girlfriend let go of the knife which immediately fell to the ground.
Holding the Christian faith, I started a completely new life. God blessed me with the best wife. Soon after I got married, we had our first child. Then I prayed and we were blessed with a second child.
God is merciful. God wants us to experience Him and His presence. There are many things, in total about 1,000, that I have experienced with God's presence. Although sometimes my wife and I might have fights, fortunately, Christians can pray before God who can intervene in our lives. He has built our family and granted us many blessings and joys.
I often ask myself: Why do I live? What is the foundation of my life? I will get a clear answer in faith. I am also very grateful in front of my children, for whom I can set an example of loving God, life, and their mother. Now I'm in the second half of my life. Even if I didn’t play well in the first half, it was okay. Like playing soccer, I hope to score more on penalty kicks in the second half so that my family glorifies God's name.

我毕业后来到了一个新的城市，创业失败后，我给她打了电话，她在电话里安慰我说，喜乐的心乃是良药，忧伤的灵使骨枯干。我当时就让她再多说几遍，因为这些话我听了，觉得心里太甘甜了，我就记了下来.
随后，我开始寻找教堂，神奇的是，不久后，我就在小区里收到了福音单张。我去了一个教堂，我听了赞美诗，觉得自己的心灵得到洗涤，变得喜乐和平安，即便听不懂当时牧师讲的道。一年多以后，我对信仰有了基本的了解。
再后来，我所在的公司新招的一个员工说她是一个基督徒，之后，她介绍我去她的教会。这个教会是比我之前参加的三自教会更加有亲密度，教会的家人们会一起喝下午茶，一起交流信仰和生活。
自己未信仰之前，我有婚前同居的罪。当时我有了感动，我想与这样的罪断开。我经过几次的努力，提出要和女朋友分手，但是想分分不开。
有一天，我下定决心要跟她分手，她就拿着刀放在我的脖子上，我说：“杀了我也没有关系，先允许我跪下来做完一个祷告吧。我说，主啊，我不愿意得罪你，如果我这样死了，也希望我是无罪的死去。我生是你的人，死也是你的人。” 祷告结束后，我当时女友就松了手，刀立刻掉在了地上。
信仰让我有了全新的生命状态，上帝给我了我最好的太太。我结婚后，就有了孩子，后来我就祷告，也蒙恩得到了第二个孩子。
上帝是慈爱的，是需要去经历的一位神。我经历上帝同在的事情是很多的，1000件也有的。虽然我们夫妻也会拌嘴，但是好在基督徒都可以来到上帝面前祷告。上帝可以介入我们的生活。上帝建立我们的家庭，给我们很多的祝福和喜乐。
我常常问自己，我为什么而活？我生命的根基是什么？我会在信仰里面得到清晰的答案。我在孩子面前也很感恩，可以给他们树立一个爱上帝，爱生活，爱他们妈妈的榜样。我进入了人生的下半场，即便上半场踢得差一点没关系，我希望下半场多进点球，全家荣耀上帝的名。
