Since the outbreak of the COVI9-19 epidemic in March, at the initiative of the Qingpu District Committee of Shanghai, a female church co-worker in Shanghai signed up for various voluntary services.
Zhu Lijing, a co-worker of Songen Church in Zhujiajiao, who just graduated from East China Theological Seminary last year, took the initiative to contact the housing committee of her community as soon as she received the notice of recruiting volunteers to assist community workers in epidemic prevention and control, according to Shanghai CC&TSPM.
For more than ten hours a day, she would always stick to the front line of epidemic containment. She established the WeChat group of the corridor to record clearly the information of each resident and made the corridor disinfected regularly. Zhu also assisted community staff in arranging the nucleic acid sampling site, checking the lockdown building, nucleic acid testing, and dispensing antigen kits. Whether it was transporting epidemic prevention materials or helping to order and distribute supplies for residents, she and other community workers made joint efforts to protect their neighbors.
In late March, when Zhu learned that Qingpu Blood Station was in urgent need of clinical blood due to the epidemic situation, she contacted the blood station staff and joined the emergency blood donation team. She started donating blood in 2008, and has donated blood for 7 times, reaching in total 1600ml.
