In order to obtain the license of Internet religious information service, four candidates from Nanjing attended the exam for Internet religious information auditors which was conducted first in Jiangsu Province.
Released by the State Administration for Religious Affairs on December 3, the Administrative Measures for Internet Religious Information Services came into effect on March 1, requiring that religious groups should apply to provincial departments of religious affairs before sharing information on the Internet.
According to the Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission of Jiangsu Province, the four candidates completed the 60-minute examination on April 19th at an electronic examination site. There were six computers at the examination site, all of which were equipped with special examination systems, which could randomly generate test papers and display the test results on the spot. The examination consisted of 90 questions, including single-choice questions, multiple-choice questions, and true or false questions.
"As the examination needed appointment, after receiving the application for the Internet religious information service license, the staff of the provincial ethnic and religious affairs commission contacted the candidates to appoint the examination time. In order to implement the relevant COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control requirements, candidates must hold a negative nucleic acid result within 48 hours, and sign the commitment letter of pandemic prevention and control responsibility on the spot," the local authorities said.
In view of the current pandemic situation, only candidates in Nanjing could take the examination. Next, the provincial ethnic and religious affairs commission will arrange auditors from other cities in the province to take the examination according to the pandemic situation, continuously optimizing the examination system to better meet the actual needs.
