International Academic Symposium on Christianity and Modern China’s Social Thoughts, originally scheduled to be held in Japan in October this year, will be postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in Japan and the world, and China's unrelaxed entry-exit policy.
This international seminar was jointly organized by the Center for the Study of Christianity and China in Los Angeles, USA, Fukuoka Jo Gakuin University in Japan, and the Journal of Research for Christianity in China, according to the official WeChat account of Christian Studies.
On May 1, the organizing committee of the symposium issued a statement that 65 receipts and 22 full texts of participating papers had been successively received. However, due to the deliberations of the conference organizing committee, as it might be difficult to hold the symposium in Japan in October this year, this meeting would be postponed indefinitely. The organizing committee would determine the date of the meeting based on the global pandemic situation and immigration policies. As long as relevant conditions permit, the meeting would be immediately held in Fukuoka, Japan.
The statement added that authors who had already sent the full text of the conference paper should not send it again, and the organizing committee will announce the latest meeting date and related matters before the meeting.
