A two-day "Forum on the Internet and Religious Affairs" kicked off in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province, on December 27, 2017.

The main topics covered religion in the Internet era and theories about religion, online religious activities and the investigations on the current situation of religious problems, legal issues on online religious affairs management, religious information services on the Internet and the construction of media outlets related to religions, and sharing China's religious stories through the Internet.

Experts and scholars from universities and research institutions hosted discussions around the themes as well as delivered keynote speeches.
