In the beginning of 2016, the Christian philanthropy institution, the Amity Foundation recalled its 2015 top events, including disaster relief and helping the transformation of domestic rural economy.

The Amity Foundation, founded in April in 1985, aims at promoting education, social services, health, community development, environmental protection, disaster relief and poverty reduction in the underdeveloped areas of China. Amity projects have benefited more than ten million people both at home and abroad. The poor districts in the Midwest of China has been the key project areas of Amity.

Below are the top events in 2015:

In March, the Amity Foundation attended the third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (WCDRR) opened in Japan.

In April, as the only Chinese member and founder member of IDRN(International Disaster Response Network), Amity went to Nepal to take international rescue the first time.

In May Amity held the seminar about Chinese philanthropy development in new normal.

In May the Hong Kong office held the "Love Never Ends - 30th Anniversary soiree" in the Crystal Ballroom of the Hong Kong Cityview Hotel. 

In June the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby visited the Amity Foundation and its projects in Nanjing.

In July, the Amity Foundation's Africa office was inaugurated and established in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethuopia. It is the first overseas office of a China non-governmental public welfare organization that has historic significance.

In September the symposium memorizing the 100th anniversary of the birth of Bishop Ding Guangxun was held in the Great Hall of the People, Beijing.

In October, the 2nd Amity Senior Service International Conference & Elderly Social Work Conference (ASSIC & ESW) was held in Nanjing.

In October the first Cross-Strait Christian Social Service Forum was held in Nanjing.

In October the sixth Amity International Seminar on Autism& Workshop on Field Skill in Autism Education was held, Nanjing. 

In November the Amity Foundation celebrated its 30th Anniversary. 

In November the Amity Foundation organized the Sixth Amity International Consultation on Social Development in Nanjing named "Toward an Inclusive Society - Peace, Development and Advocacy". 

In November Amity announced the opening of an international Liaison Office in Geneva during the 30th anni celebration.

In November Amity held the Open Forum of Charity Law of PRC(Draft) was held in Nanjing University. 

In December the second Religious Philanthropy Training Program of Jiangsu Province was opened, Nanjing.

In December the secretary of the Amity Foundation won "2015 Responsible China Annual Tribute Award" and the Amity Foundation won "2015 Responsible China Charity Action Reward".

In December the Amity Foundation held the 2015 Project Management Seminar "Explore the New Path of Rural Development in the New Era".
