Guangdong Union Theological Seminary held a public prayer meeting themed "Meeting the Lord, Getting Close to the Lord" as a devotional practice.

According to the hosting seminary, faculty and students of Guangdong Union Theological Seminary convened at its Union Chapel to take part in a public prayer meeting during Ordinary Time of the liturgical year.

During the prayer meeting, all the teachers and students kneeled facing the cross, singing psalms to enable participants to pray and praise alongside saints of all ages.

The prayers during this public session encompassed prayers of adoration, confession, and supplication. Participants interceded for church unity, world peace, China, and society, as well as for a deeper pursuit of God.
