A comprehensive training course was carried out for newly ordained pastors and elders in Guangdong Union Theological Seminary.

During the retreat initiated by Guangdong CC&TPSM on March 13–15, Rev. Fan Hong'en, chairman of Guangdong TSPM, preached a sermon titled "Living a Holy Life," citing 1 Peter 1:13-25, reported the provincial CC&TSPM.

President Xu Jieping of the seminary, delivered a lecture on "The Call and Image of the Pastor," reminding pastors to confirm the divine call from God and to bear God’s image. In addition to this, the retreat included courses on policies and regulations, church festivals and worship rituals, guidelines to sacraments, as well as a prayer meeting and discussion forum.

During the communion service at the end, Secretary-General Lin Enling of the Guangdong Christian Council preached on the theme "Be Faithful Servants Following God's Vision."
