The title of “Zhejiang Provincial Fire Safety Standardized Management Key Unit” for religious activity sites was awarded to a church in Taizhou. 

On March 22, Kong Aiqing, leader of Jiaojiang Church received the prize from the Jiaojiang District Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, saying that "we will work hard to make improvements to honor God and to benefit people”, the church reported.

Last September, joint with the provincial fire rescue corps, the Zhejiang Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission held the launch ceremony of the competition of fire safety standardized management and the Second Zhejiang Province Fire Skills Competition for Religious Activity Sites.

The church has organized firefighters to implement standardized management of fire safety with an investment, strengthening the constructions of micro fire stations and a volunteer fire brigade.
