During the KUA GlOBAL Christmas Service, a Taiwanese hostess and a singer shared their testimonies.
On December 25, the KUA Global Mission held a Christmas service which was broadcast live online all over the world. The Golden Bell Awards hostess Sandy Wu and Golden Melody Award singer Nicky Lee were both invited to share their testimonies. The Kua Global worship team led believers to worship God virtually, singing hymns such as “Joy to the World” and “There is a God”.
Singer Nicky Lee shared his special gratitude for holding a concert a few months before COVID-19, which his family and wife also attended. This was what he thanked God for the most. Because of his work, he has been separated from his parents and wife for a long time, and he missed his family very much.
He added: "Sometimes people's life is like riding a roller coaster on mountains or in valleys. We thank the Lord when we are successful, and blame the Lord when we are depressed, so do I. I have wanted to give up (singing career) many times, but I want to tell you that no matter what you have experienced, you should believe that God is watching over you. Don't forget that God is always with us."
Because of her father Jacky Wu, a famous Taiwanese television show host, actor, and singer, Sandy Wu has been constantly labeled by other people in various ways since childhood. Suffering racial discrimination when studying abroad, she began to overeat and fell into depression and pain.
One day, she received a call from her mother and couldn't help pouring out her bitterness. She had wanted her mother to give some answers, but she didn't expect her mother to say, "I can't save you."
While she was still in shock, her mother continued, "These experiences are to tell you that the focus of your life can not be placed on people, but on God, because only God will never let you down." In that moment, she realized that the teachings she received in church and the verses she recited could become her help. She decided to go back to church and study hard again.
She also said that there were many tears in her acting career. She was afraid every time before going on stage, but she still believed that God had a special plan in her life. She hoped her story would encourage other people, sharing that no matter what others thought of them, it would not change their value in God's eyes.
