On May 19, Hong Kong Christian artist Steven Ma Junwei won the "Best New Director Award" at the "Third MOVIE6 National Film Awards" for his film about depression.
In his acceptance speech, the novice director expressed his gratitude to his Heavenly Father for his care and protection so that he can successfully complete the shooting. Afterwards, he expressed on a Microblog: "Thank you Lord for helping me shoot the film Till We Meet Again. Thank you to everyone who voted for me. Thank you to the whole team, both those in front of the camera and those behind the scenes, thank you for your efforts! I will work harder in the future to be a competent film director and will continue to create and shoot more realistic films that show concern for the grassroots and disadvantaged communities. I hope everyone will continue to support me and my Pony Studio! Thanks! "
That night, Ma shared on Microblog about his step-by-step growth from making a stage play to being a director. He thanked God for his leadership and gave glory to his Heavenly Father:
"In 2015 I started to write my first stage script entitled Xu Zhimo’s Accidental Meeting. After it was performed in Hong Kong in 2016, I was grateful that this stage work was selected by the '19th China Shanghai International Art Festival' as the only officially recognized stage work from Hong Kong to be presented in the Mainland in 2017. On October 28, 2018, my first social documentary TV program Similarity was released. Continue to Go, which I personally conceived, produced and hosted, was broadcast on 'Turn on TV'. Afterwards, in August 2019, I was grateful that this TV program received the "Best Creative Award" and "Screen Silver Award" from the 52nd American International Film and Television Festival. In May 2019, the film Till We Meet Again was filmed and launched on December 5 of the same year. Up until May 2020, I am grateful to have received the "Best New Director" award from The Third Movie6 National Film Awards.‘’
