Jeremy Lin is once again on the headlines this week as he was right in the middle of his team, Charlotte Hornets win over the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Game 3 playoff series. This marks their fist playoff win in 14 seasons. And, Lin as a devout Christian, posted how he is thankful for this.
Lin just recently took to his official Twitter account shortly after his team's victory saying "Praise God."
With the good situation he is in right now, people are speculating he thanks Jesus for it.
Furthermore, Lin recent tweets led up to the victory revealing his faith. He quotes the bible verse Psalm, 37:5 "Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you.
The Charlotte Hornets' point guard has a huge presence on social media and Forbes reported it has something to do with his Christian faith.
Lin has over half a million subscribers on Youtube with more than 50 million views, 3 million Facebook fans and 1.54 million Twitter followers.
"I think I'm just in a different place, mentally, spiritually, where I'm able to enjoy this job more and more," he said on a report. "The lows don't affect me the way they used to anymore."
Meanwhile, many people realizes more how Lin affects much in a positive way his team.
"This isn't about winning one playoff game, it's about winning a playoff series," said Charlotte coach Steve Clifford. "This gives us a chance."
"He's a much, much better defender than people realize," Clifford recently told reporters. "He competes hard every night, and he's a very serious player."
"I think he's got another big jump in his game," said Clifford. And surely his hope is that will come about in a Charlotte Hornets uniform.
Lin scored 18 points in the his last playoffs game on Saturday against Miami Heat helping his team win their first playoff in 14 years.
