The 2021 annual meeting of the Journal of Research for Christianity in China was hosted online with eight scholars sharing lectures on different topics.
On April 17, Li Ling, director of the Center for the Study of Christianity and China in Los Angeles, USA, shared a brief analysis of the current religious situation and political trends in the United States.
Peng Rui from Nanchang University gave a lecture titled “Religious Sociological Analysis of Various Forms of Chinese Popular Religion”.
Song Huaisi from Shaanxi Major Seminary shared on a Jilin Catholic’s preaching collection in Hubei in 2006.
Professor Xiao Qinghe from Shanghai University delivered a speech themed “A Study of Wen Xiangfeng’s Confucian Religious Thought on Service to Heaven, Reverence to Confucius and Defense of Buddhism”.
Yu Qiang from Zhejiang Academy of Social Sciences shared on the spiritual life of Luo Wei Lin, a medical missionary from London to China.
Nie Li from South-Central University for Nationalities told the story of the resignation of Wu Deshi, Bishop of Hankou in Hubei, from 1922 to 1924.
Xi Wang of Peking University gave a speech on the Roman family and genetic modification.
Guo Jianbin from Southwest University for Nationalities delivered a lecture on “New Gaps and Old Grievances between Catholicism and Protestantism in Modern Times China: Centered on Li Wenyu”.
Established in 2006, the Center for the Study of Christianity and China in Los Angeles has carried out contacts and cooperation with China’s academic circles to jointly promote research on Christianity and China-related topics. In October 2007, the center invited more than 30 experts from home and abroad to hold an academic conference on "Review and Prospect of Sino-Western Cultural Exchange - Commemorate the Bicentennial of Morrison's Coming to China". Since then, the organization cooperates with domestic universities to hold academic seminars on topics related to Christianity and China every year. In 2013, the center launched the Journal of Research for Christianity in China .

西南民族大学的郭建斌“近代在华天主教与基督新教的宿怨新隙:以李问渔为中心”。
美国洛杉矶基督教与中国研究中心于2006年成立。成立之后,便展开与中国国内学术界的联系和合作、共同推动基督教与中国相关课题的研究。2007年10月,研究中心邀请了国内外三十几位专家举办了“中西文化交流回顾与展望—暨纪念马礼逊来华两百周年”学术会议。此后,研究中心每年都与国内的大学合作举办与基督教和中国相关话题的学术研讨会。2013年,中心创办《中国基督教研究》杂志。
