Park Bo Gum and Song Hye Kyo are the new pair for the upcoming romantic drama series titled "Encounter."
"Encounter" is a love story about two very different people whose lives change after their meeting. Cha Soo Hyun (Song Hye Kyo) is a person who used to live for others and never had the chance to make her own choices in life while Kim Jin Hyuk (Park Bo Gum) lives an ordinary life but cherishes every moment of it.
"Everyone has probably imagined at least once what it would be like to meet a fateful partner while on vacation. We hope to make viewers' hearts flutter with the story of how Song Hye Kyo and Park Bo Gum meet coincidentally in unfamiliar Cuba. Please look forward to their stories," the production staff regarding the theme of their drama.
The upcoming Korean drama series was shot in Cuba.
"Because it's hard to get permission to film in Cuba, we put in a lot of effort [into making it happen]. Thanks to the actors and staff who worked together under the South American sun with similar feelings of wanting to create beautiful scenes, we're very pleased that we were able to film heart-throbbing scenes. We plan to portray the Cubans' gaiety and aesthetic elements throughout the drama, so please look forward to and stay tuned for the premiere of 'Encounter' that will be full of Cuba's exotic and beautiful scenery," the production staff of the drama said.
