Jilin Church Hosts First Service of Advent

中国东北的吉林省一个教会迎来了将临期第一个主日。

12月3日，长春市海口路教会举行了两场主日礼拜圣事。

首场聚会中，教会负责人闫鹏牧师以《恳求主降临》为题目，分享了马太福音3章1至2节、约翰福音1章29节、3章30节的经文，分三个方面为主证道：警醒等候基督的降临；相信耶稣就是那将要降临的基督；永远高举基督，因基督是中心。

接着是教会第五期新生命结业典礼，闫鹏牧师亲自为十八位学员颁发结业证书。

A church in Jilin Province, northeast China, celebrated the first Sunday of Advent.

Haikou Road Church in Changchun City hosted a Sunday service on December 3, concluding a Christian discipleship course.

At the first ceremony, Rev. Yan Peng, senior pastor of the church, preached a themed sermon focusing on the beginning of Advent, “Ask the Lord to Come,” based on scriptures from Matthew 3:1-2, John 1:29, and John 3:30. He exhorted the congregants to watch and wait for Christ's coming with firm belief that Jesus was the coming Christ and exalt the name of Jesus, the center of all.

Subsequently, the church conducted a graduation ceremony for the 18 new believers, with Rev. Yan presenting them with the certificate of graduation.
