A memorial service was held for the head of a church in China’s southeastern coastal Fujian Province.

The service for Zheng Huiyu, who was in charge of Kangli Church in Pingnan County, Ningde City, was attended by leaders of the county CC&TSPM and believers from Chengdong Church and the pastoral area in Daixi Town on February 2, according to the county CC&TSPM.

Based on 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-17 read by Pastor Xie Guixiang, vice president of the county Christian Council, Rev. Zhang Jinying, executive vice president, preached a sermon.

With all her family members being believers, Zheng opened her home for Christians to worship God on Sundays since Kangli Church was founded. In the past two or three years, other church members received these worshippers as she was seriously ill. She was thrifty and devoted to the Lord. On January 21, she went to rest in the arms of Jesus.
