A church in northeast China's Liaoning Province resumed the in-person services and gatherings as the local outbreaks subsided.
On Wednesday, June 8, Wenhua Road Church in Pulandian District, Dalian, had its first on-site evening gathering after this current wave of COVID-19 de-escalated and having gained approval for the reopening.
After the churches in Dalian City resumed their on-site gatherings on Sunday, May 29, other churches in districts and counties of Dalian reported to the competent authorities. So some were permitted to reopen in the following week.
According to the requirements of the epidemic prevention, churches must place a limit on the number of people at the gathering. Each worshipper was requested to wear masks, present "three codes" such as the "Liaoshitong Health Code", have their codes scanned, have their temperature taken, and sit spaced apart under the guidance of co-workers.
The Wenhua Road Church in Pulandian District, during the epidemic, was used several times as a public place for nucleic acid detection in its community. Since the outbreak began in March, it gave donations and materials totaling more than 152,000 yuan. In her 70s, Elder Zhou Fenglou preached a sermon titled "Don't be afraid and just believe”, the first of seven sermons.
After the first onsite gathering, the activities of fellowships and groups of the church would also resume one after another, according to the epidemic prevention requirements and the situation of the epidemic.

文化路基督教堂的首场线下聚会之后，教会的其它团契、班组的各项活动和聚会也将根据防疫要求和实际情况陆续恢复。
