Shuguang Church in Baoji, Shaanxi, held a worship service on Mother’s Day which fell on May 9th.
Before 8:30 a.m., some churchgoers had arrived early at the church. Female attendants instructed them to register personal information and have their body temperatures taken. Moreover, they also helped elderly people to the sanctuary on the second floor.
At 9:00 am, the service began and the church's Joshua choir came on stage to sing hymns. Based on John 19:25-27, Pastor Xie Yuan spent nearly 50 minutes delivering a sermon about maternal love. He shared about the offspring of women based on Genesis 2:20-24 and 3:15 and the words of Jesus before he died, “Dear woman, here is your son” and to the disciple “Here is your mother“. He also stated that the female believers would be saved through childbearing.
In the sermon, he told the congregation that maternal love comes from God who created it, but God's love surpasses maternal love, as the love of God is a sacrificial love that never changes, a renewal love that never abandons us, and an initiative love that disciplines us. Maternal love was the closest to Christ’s love, he added.
He also reminded Christian mothers that if they failed to accompany their children while aged one to six, they should spend twice as much time doing so at seven to 12; missing out 7-12, four times as much is needed at 13 to 18; failure to accompany them will result in those children not being theirs.
After the sermon, a video of dubbing sand painting was played on the large screens on both sides of the altar. It said, "Our mothers have spent a lot of time teaching us to eat with spoons and chopsticks, wear clothes, tie shoelaces, wash our faces and comb our hair. We love our mothers, who are getting old while we are growing up. One day, when they start to forget how to fasten the buttons and tie their shoelaces, or stain their clothes while eating, they will feel very warm and happy as long as we are by their side...One day, when they cannot even stand still or walk, please hold their hands and accompany them to grow old, just like their big hands held our little hands when we were young."
Choir members walked into the congregation to hug each Christian woman, saying "Happy Mother's Day".
At 10:30 a.m., the service ended with the benediction from Elder Yi Lianmei. Every female Christian received a gift when she left the sanctuary, and even men received the same holiday gifts.

宝鸡曙光教会在5月9日这天，举办了母亲节主日崇拜聚会。
还不到8：30，已有弟兄姊妹早早朝教会赶来。教会大门口站立的姊妹们，一边说着“耶稣爱你，母亲节快乐”的话语，一边指导着来宾测量体温、登记个人信息。对那些上了年龄的老人们，她们会搀扶着一步步送到二楼主堂。
上午9：00 教会约书亚诗班登台献唱赞美。接下来，是谢渊传道以圣经（约19：25-27）经文章节为依据，围绕《母亲，看你的儿子！门徒，看你的母亲！》主题，用了近50分钟时间，讲了四大部分：一、女人（母亲）的后裔（创2：20-24；3：15）；二、信主的女人在生产上得救（提前2：15）；三、母亲，看你的儿子（约19：26）；四、门徒，看你的母亲（约19：27）。
整堂证道告诉大家，母爱从神而来，是神创造的。神爱超越母爱。神的爱是代赎的爱、舍命的爱、永远的爱、不离不弃的爱、不改变的爱、主动的爱、管教的爱、更新的爱。母爱，是最接近基督的爱！
谢传道同时讲道：因为在这个世界上的每一位母亲，她心里非常明白，如果不花时间在1-6岁孩子身上，7-12岁会花比寻常加倍的时间；如果不花时间在7-12岁孩子身上，13岁-18岁会花比寻常多4培的时间；再不在孩子身上花足够的时间，孩子就不是你的了。
证道结束后，在主台左右两旁的大屏幕上播放了一段配音沙画视频。画面解说者，“妈妈，花了好长时间，教我们用勺子、筷子吃东西，教我们穿衣服，系鞋带，教我们洗脸、梳头发。我们爱自己的妈妈，我们在渐渐长大，妈妈却渐渐的老了。有一天，当她开始忘记一些事情。开始忘记系扣子、绑鞋带……开始在吃饭时会弄脏衣服。只要我们陪在她的身边，她就会很温暖、很开心……有一天，当她连站也站不稳，走也走不动的时候……请你握住她的手陪她慢慢变老。就像当年妈妈大手牵着我们的小手一样……”
主持人陈剑弟兄提议诗班弟兄姊妹走进会众当中，为在场的每一位母亲说一声“母亲节快乐”，向每一位母亲献上一个拥抱。
上午10：30聚会在易连梅长老的祝福声中结束。参加聚会的每位姊妹，在临出大门时领到了一份母亲节礼物。连来参加聚会的弟兄们，也跟着沾光领到了同样的节日礼物。
