A church in China’s eastern Shandong Province held an ordination ceremony.

At Jingsi Road Church in Jinan City on May 12, Rev. Dong Meiqin, director of Shandong TSPM, preached a sermon titled "Learning to Be a Good Shepherd," citing 1 Peter 5:1-4, said Shandong CC&TSPM. She encouraged the to-be-ordained to accept the appointment willingly, which is God's will rather than a personal one, and to pastor believers by setting an example rather than a precept.

During the ordination ceremony presided over by Rev. Wang Mengkun, vice president of the Shandong Christian Council, five women pastoral workers were ordained as pastors and one as an elder, receiving bibles and clerical stoles.
