The first expanded joint meeting of the chairperson and president of the current session of CCC&TSPM was held in Shanghai.
On February 20, the third working day after the traditional Chinese New Year holiday, 36 staff workers at the level of deputy secretary-general and above attended the meeting, reported CCC&TSPM. The meeting focused on the work plan for the year 2024 and the responsibilities and key points of the special committee of the current session's CCC&TSPM.
Rev. Xu Xiaohong, chairman of the national TSPM who presided over the meeting, reported on the work distribution of the new leadership team of CCC&TSPM.
Subsequently, Gu Mengfei, secretary-general of TSPM, reported on the work plan for the year 2024 (draft) of CCC&TSPM.
The work of the new session of CCC&TSPM began in 2024, which marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the National Committee of the Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM).
At the meeting, staff members believed that the work plan for 2024 was practical and feasible. Around the implementation of the "Outline of the Five-Year Work Plan for Further Advancing the Sinicization of Christianity (2023-2027)," suggestions were made to strengthen talent training, carry out theological education, and train pastoral personnel.
Rev. Wu Wei, president of the China Christian Council (CCC), emphasized in his concluding speech the need to implement the spirit of the 11th National Chinese Christian Congress, highlighting Bible translation and interpretation work, grassroots connections, and talent training.

会上，同工们认为，2024年工作计划是一份务实且可行。围绕落实《深入推进我国基督教中国化五年工作规划纲要（2023—2027年）》，加强人才培养，办好神学教育和教牧人员培训等主要内容，提出了意见。
中国基督教协会会长吴巍牧师在总结讲话中强调，要贯彻中国基督教第十一次代表会议精神，重视圣经翻译和注释工作；联系基层，加强人才培养。
