The Shanghai Christian Counci (CC) held an ordination ceremony for eight clergymen.

Rev. Yu Jiang, vice chairman of the municipal CC, preached a sermon titled “Faithful and Wise Servant” at Jiexin (Pure Heart) Church in Pudong New Area on September 21, according to the Shanghai CC&TSPM.

Rev. Geng Weizhong, president of the municipal CC, inquired about the vows of the co-workers who were going to be ordained and then laid hands on the eight staff workers, respectively. He ordained Guo Huijuan (female) as a pastor and seven other church staff as elders, presenting stoles and Bibles to them.

During the following symposium, Pastor Geng hoped that the newly ordained clergymen would value their own identities, lead believers in loving the country and the church, and be strivers and pioneers of the Shanghai church in the new era.
