In order to enhance the relationship between husband and wife for the married believers, on August 22 (the seventh day of the seventh lunar month), a church in Guangdong held a Chinese Valentine’s Day gathering for married believers, and a total of 18 couples attended the event.
According to the Huizhou TSPM, Pastor Yue Jinbo from Joy Church was invited to give a sermon on the title "Learn How to Fight between Couples" to the couples at Lilin Church in Huizhou city. He analyzed the important principles of communication and methods for resolving marital conflicts and also taught the couples how to “argue” constructively according to the principles of the Bible in order to enhance the affection between each other.
During the gathering, short videos were watched, and the couples confessed to their partners their mistakes when inspired by the truths. Also, by drawing lots, each couple was given a number, and when their number was called randomly, the couple had to answer the corresponding questions in order to assess how much they knew about each other and how much attention they paid to the family.
To finalize, the church gave each couple a gift—a bottle of perfume—which means that each Christian couple exudes the fragrance of Christ in their marriage and family life.
