Ordination ceremonies were held in two places in China’s northeastern Jilin Province.

Jilin CC&TSPM held an ordination in Grateful Church of Chuanying District, Jilin City, on March 23, when four staff members were ordained as pastors, said CCC&TSPM.

Rev. Liang Xiaoying, vice chairman and vice president of the provincial CC&TSPM, urged the staff members to be ordained to be cautious for themselves in terms of money, fame, and fortune, and for believers in pasturing them and resisting heresy. Rev. Liang also encouraged them to be loyal to Christ, the church, and their duties.

The next day, the provincial CC&TSPM held another ordination at Shenhua Church in Yanji City, where also four pastoral staff were appointed as pastors. Rev. Hu Yuming, vice chairman, vice president, and secretary general of the provincial CC&TSPM preached a sermon titled “Be Shepherds of God’s Flock and Watch Over Them,” citing 1 Peter 5:1-4. New pastors were encouraged to willingly serve with the Lord in their hearts while keeping the well-being of the flock in mind.
