Four pastoral staff members were ordained as pastors in a church in Tianjin.

Tianjin CC&TSPM held the twelfth ordination ceremony at Gangweilu Church in Hebei District on the morning of January 17, according to CCC&TSPM.

Rev. Mao Yajun, chairman of the Tianjin CC&TSPM and the Educational Affairs Committee, citing Jeremiah 1:4-10 preached a sermon titled "The Called Servant." Rev. Mao exhorted these appointed clergy to cherish their position, praying like the prophet Jeremiah with love, humility, patience, obedience, and tears. He also encouraged them, like the prophet, to seek God steadfastly and faithfully, and to be cautious in their words, letting their tongues be restrained by the Lord.
