Three local CC&TSPMs in Hubei Province and five individual Christians were awarded honorary titles.

The three CC&TSPMs of Xianning, Xian'an District, and Chibi received the honor, according to Hubei CC&TSPM. Five individuals such as Gong Gangchun, Mao Yao, and Cai Shijin were awarded the title of "Advanced Individual."

The commendations were given for the role of the religious community in Xianning City, Hubei Province in fighting the new crown pneumonia pandemic in a meeting held in Xianning on November 19, 2020.

Tu Jiangping, deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the Xianning Municipal Party Committee and director of Xianning Ethnic & Religious Affairs Committee, congratulated the groups and individuals, highly affirming their contribution in the fight against COVID-19.

Rev. Gong Gangchun, chairman of the Xianning Municipal CC&TSPM, made a speech entitled "Plague Ruthless, Love in the World" on behalf of the Christian community and the award-winning individuals.
