During the fight against the virus, the Amity Foundation provided material support to seven groups of medical teams who were supporting Hubei from Jiangsu province. The most popular piece of equipment was the positive-pressure electric air-supply ventilator, called "the best protective equipment" by medical team members.
Some members of the Jiangsu medical team will continue to remain in Wuhan and treat critically ill patients. Among them, more than 200 members of the medical team from Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital will transfer to Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital, the "major site of the fight against the epidemic." They will take over two ICU units which have a total of 33 critically ill patients, accounting for about 80% of the total critically ill patients in Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital.
