On August 27, Hangzhou Municipal CC&TSPM organized church staff to conduct the proofreading of the Daily Devotions collection.
According to the Hangzhou CC&TSPM, the Daily Devotions collection is a significant initiative for the Hangzhou churches, which features 300 selected spiritual articles from pastoral workers, including scripture reading, deep reflection, life application, and prayer. The collection covers the teachings of various books of the Bible, the testimony of apostles throughout church history, and insight from current theological thinking.
Throughout the day, seven church co-workers proofread the collection, standardizing the format, checking the original scripture texts, ensuring punctuation accuracy, and discussing the correct usage of relevant terms. Before that, pastors led the initial proofreading and organized a team to conduct two rounds of proofreading, both online and onsite, using a combination of decentralized and centralized methods.
Rev. Zhang Yaofa, president of the Hangzhou Christian Council (CC), acknowledged the efforts of the staff members, stating that the editing of the Daily Devotion collection is an innovative ministry within the Hangzhou Christian community. He noted that, during this process, church staff have recorded their daily spiritual reflections and thoughts, which not only deepens the pastors' personal spiritual experiences but also inspires and guides believers in their reading while promoting communication and sharing among the congregation.
