Rural, Ethnic Minority Affairs Committee of CCC&TSPM Convenes First Meeting in 2024

基督教全国两会本届农村和民族事工委员会第一次会议在云南昆明召开。

据中国基督教两会，6月18日至20日，中国基督教三自爱国运动委员会副主席、农村和民族事工委员会主任唐卫民牧师主持会议。

唐卫民牧师要求落实习近平总书记关于加强和改进民族工作的重要思想、关于宗教工作的重要论述，并对本届农村和民族事工委员会的工作职责进行了阐释说明。

本届农村和民族事工委员会副主任、云南省基督教协会会长邓建伟牧师就2024年度工作计划之农村和少数民族教会调研方案进行了说明。本届农村和民族事工委员会副主任、天津市基督教两会主席会长毛雅君牧师就2024年度工作计划之农村和少数民族基督教会场所调查问卷进行了说明。

之后，各位委员就本年度工作计划、调研方案、调查问卷及各地农村和少数民族地区存在的普遍问题、面临的困难展开了讨论，并提出了意见与建议。

The first meeting of the current Rural and Ethnic Minority Affairs Committee of CCC&TSPM was held in Kunming, Yunnan.

Rev. Tang Weimin, vice chairman of TSPM and director of the committee, presided over the meeting conducted from June 18 to 20, said CCC&TSPM.

Reverend Tang emphasized the implementation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee Xi Jinping’s thoughts on strengthening and improving ethnic work, as well as his discourses on religious work. He also elaborated on the duties of the current committee.

Rev. Deng Jianwei, vice director of the committee and president of the Yunnan Provincial Christian Council, explained the research plan for rural and ethnic minority churches as part of the 2024 work plan. Rev. Mao Yajun, vice director of the committee and president of the Tianjin Christian Council, elaborated on the questionnaire survey regarding rural and ethnic minority Christian activity venues for the 2024 work plan.

Subsequently, the committee members discussed the annual work plan, the research plan, the questionnaire survey, and the common issues and challenges faced by rural and ethnic minority areas, providing their opinions and suggestions.
