As the 2024 Spring Festival is around the corner, a church in Guangdong visited the community with care and warmth.
From January 19, the Charity Service ministry of the Tianhe Church in Guangzhou conducted visit activities among the local community before the Spring Festival, reported the church.
The church’s pastoral staff and responsible volunteers from related departments distributed daily essentials and funds to the Christians in need.
Meanwhile, the team also visited local nursing homes and sanitation facilities, sending food and money to the needy. They also presented 180 sets of aerospace models to five primary schools. In addition, the team also extended visits to orphans, elderly people living on minimum living allowances, and problem students.
Tangxia Meeting Point, which is affiliated with the church, also paid visits to believers who were in difficulty or sick.
As the largest-ever church in Guangzhou, Tianhe Church has been the first church to be established since 1949 (the founding of New China). It is a comprehensive church used for worship, training, foreign reception, and joint activities, consisting of a hall, chapel, bell tower, training building, and management set building. With a construction area of 8,830 square meters (2.18 acres), it has an underground parking space covering an area of 2493 square meters (0.616 acres), accommodating a maximum of 3,000 worshippers at one time.
