On November 12, the church service ministry of the Shishan Church in Suzhou City organized the event, according to the church.
Prior to the charity sale, there were promotions encouraging believers to participate in the sale by donating items and creating calligraphy and painting works, as well as handicrafts.
An expert team from the Affiliated Suzhou Hospital, Medical School of Nanjing University, led the free clinic sector at the 2023 Annual Charity Sale. The legal team of Shishan Church managed the legal advice sector, while the church's hairdressing team oversaw the hairdressing sector. Along with areas for second-hand daily necessities, furniture, clothing, books, and toys donated by believers, the event also included areas for agriculture, Christianity books, calligraphy and couplet works, flowers, and handicrafts. The revenues from the sale would benefit Shishan Church's charitable ministry.
Constructed in 2003 and dedicated in 2007, Shishan Church spans an area of 12.31 acres, with a construction area of 0.7 acres. As a five-story building, the main chapel is on the first floor, while the attached rooms are on the rest floors, with a capacity of 1000 believers.
