Christian Communications LTD., Hong Kong visited CCC&TSPM, exchanging views on publication, church development, theological education, and social services.
Matthew Fung, general secretary of Christian Communications LTD., Hong Kong, and Thomas Tang, a specially invited consultant, successively introduced the recent personnel changes of the ministry on their visit to CCC&TSPM on March 27. They said that the new staff members in charge would, as always, serve in good cooperation with the Chinese mainland churches. Confronting the rapidly changing era, they would focus on the themes of “retention” and “innovation,” sticking to the original principles and intentions while innovating the work methods and optimizing the work plans to adapt to the new changes. Both of them expressed the hope that by improving the exchanges between churches in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland, the sinicization of Christianity on the mainland can be understood and supported in the right way. In addition, both sides were expected to work together more on publishing.
Rev. Wu Wei, president of China Christian Council, mentioned that over the past decades, Christian Communications LTD. had done meaningful work in many aspects, such as publishing, expecting that there would be further cooperation in the future. He also introduced that it would be the new task in the new era for Chinese churches to promote the sinicization of Christianity and make an interpretation that meets the requirements of the times on the premise of adhering to the tradition of the holy catholic church and the Reformation, the basic beliefs and core doctrines, as well as the unchanged truth of the Bible. He emphasized that Chinese churches were willing to make equal and friendly exchanges with churches and organizations around the world and learn from them with an open attitude.
