A more than half-year provincial training course in divine music has finished in Hunan province.
Hunan CC&TSPM held a graduation ceremony and concert for the sacred music training class, according to CCC&TSPM.
The training course themed “Adhering to the Principle of Promoting Christianity in the Chinese Context” starts from November 2021 to July 2022, including six phases. There are 122 key members of choirs enrolled from 62 churches in 13 cities.
The graduation ceremony was hosted by Rev. Du Wenwu, president of the Hunan Province Christian Council, followed by a speech "Giving Play to Functions of the Community and Composing the Sinicized Sacred Music in Hunan" given by Rev. Xu Yongbin, chairman of Hunan provincial TSPM. She said that the localization of hymns had gone through nearly a hundred years and Chinese Christians had valued the editing and creation of hymns. With the idea of "seminar, works, training, and singing", Hunan CC&TSPM would take the hymns localization as the starting point to foster a group of high-quality professionals, focusing on the annual target of "comprehensively and strictly governing the church and building a strong talent team".
After graduation certificates were issued, the 122 students performed in the concert with the theme ‘Love Fulfills Hunan’, including the classical Chinese sacred music works in the Chinese New Hymnal, such as "Fair Name of Jesus" and "I Love the Chinese Church". The concert also featured the solo performance of "Ode to the Cross by Emperor Kangxi" and "You Are Jesus", which were played by Tan Xiaosi with Erhu, a Chinese two-stringed bowed musical instrument.

2022年7月29日，湖南省基督教两会举办“坚持基督教中国化方向”圣乐培训班结业典礼暨音乐会，据中国基督教两会。
此次培训班，从2021年11月开始至2022年7月结业，共举办了6期，13个市州62个堂点诗班骨干共122人参加了培训。
结业典礼由湖南省基督教协会会长杜温武牧师主持，湖南省基督教三自爱国运动委员会主席徐勇斌牧师以《发挥团体职能 谱圣乐“中国化”湖南乐章》为题讲话，她谈到圣诗中国化已走过了近百年历程，中国基督教重视赞美诗的编辑与创作。省基督教两会将以“研讨会+作品+培训+传唱”的思路，围绕“全面从严治教，潜心打造一支过硬的人才队伍”的年度工作目标，以圣乐中国化为抓手，造就一批高素质的专业人才。
为学员颁发了结业证后，122位学员带来了爱满潇湘”音乐会，展现了《新编赞美诗》中的经典中国圣乐作品，如《耶稣美名歌》《我爱中国教会歌》等，也有二胡演奏家谭小驷老师《康熙十架颂》《你就是耶稣》的独奏。
