The Internet Religious Information Service License was awarded to a church in China’s southeastern-coastal Jiangsu Province, which helps it engage in online religious activities within the scope permitted by laws and regulations.
Jinsha Church in Tongzhou District, Nantong City, obtained the "Internet Religious Information Service License" on July 27, becoming the first Christian venue in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province to receive the license, the church said.
Attaching great importance to the Administrative Measures for Internet Religious Information Services which came to effect on March 1, Rev. Qiu Cheng, head of the church, held a church council meeting and appointed Huang Min to study and attend the exam for auditors conducted by the provincial ethnic and religious affairs commission. This church completed the application for the license on the provincial government affairs service network, getting the license on March 27 after Huang passed the exam half a month before.
As the district’s central church where the district TSPM is located, it will make proper use of the only official account of "Jinsha Church", providing independent and self-built platforms or websites issuing religious information, activity reports, and news, as well as matched procedures and technical services.
