Due to COVID-19, Shandong CC&TSPM held the first ordination ceremony after the Spring Festival this year.

On June 25, the ordination ceremony was held at Shuangjie Church located in the station of Liaocheng Municipal CC&TSPM for 22 church staff members from the cities of Liaocheng, Dezhou, and Heze, according to Liaocheng TSPM.

Based on 2 Timothy 2:15, Rev. Wang Mengkun, general-secretary of the Shandong Christian council, exhorted the newly-ordained clergy and the pastoral staff present to be workmen who did not need to be ashamed with a sense of mission and to correctly handle the word of truth with a sense of urgency to accomplish that mission.

As an officiator of the ceremony, Rev. Ren Xianmin, advisor of the provincial CC&TSPM, pointed out that it was the first time that church staff from these three cities were ordained together in Liaocheng.
