In Fujian Province, Quannan Church and Fuqiao Church in Quanzhou City, and Qingyang Church in Jinjiang City successively issued notices about their temporary closures starting from March 13.
On its official WeChat account on March 14, Nanjing CC&TSPM in Jiangsu Province released an announcement, stating that all churches in Nanjing would implement "double suspensions" from that day on, which refers to suspending the opening of places of worship and religious group gatherings.
City One Church in Nantong City, Huaihai West Road Church in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and Huayu Road Church in Ma’anshan, Anhui Province, also announced the implementation of "double suspensions" starting from March 14.
According to China Daily, 1,337 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases were found on Sunday in the Chinese mainland, with a total of 100 imported cases, the National Health Commission said Monday.
