A church nursing home is under renovation in Liaoning Province to improve its facility.
Surrounded by mountains, Boai Elderly Center, run by the local Wenhua Road Church of Pulandian District, Dalian City covers an area of 13,210 square meters (3.26 acres), with a building area of 3,200 square meters (0.79 acres) and 200 beds. The Center is equipped with independent canteens, heating boiler rooms and other facilities. The initial total investment was more than RMB five million.
In recent years, the Center once served as a base for spiritual cultivation and training of Christian pastors and workers in Dalian, with the tenet of "being a real person, telling the truth and doing truehearted business."
In mid-October, I learned that in order to further improve the environment of the nursing home, Wenhua Road Church of Pulandian District further invested about two million yuan to carry out large-scale maintenance on the basic facilities such as homes, canteens, and courtyard areas, and to build a corridor to connect the dormitory of the elderly with the canteen, so that they can directly enter the canteen for dining.
Every week, Elder Zhou Fenglou goes to the Center to check on the progress. Sometimes, he arrives at the site at six o'clock in the morning and does some things himself. He told that the best quality raw materials are being used in this repair and decoration, such as waterproof layers, insulation layers and coating.
When I went again to Boai Elderly Center in the autumn, I found that the early stage of the internal and external maintenance had been completed, and the brand-new external buildings were in front of me. By next spring, the home will continue to invest about 1 million yuan to do interior decoration.
As a member unit of the Dalian Elderly Care Welfare Association, Boai is a nursing home founded on the biblical teachings of "loving your neighbor as yourself" and that "you shall rise up before the hoary head and honor the face of the old man" (Leviticus 19: 32).
In addition to the seniors in Dalian, the elderly in other provinces and cities, including those who are non-Christians, can also reside in the center for nursing services with low costs.

辽宁省大连市普兰店区文化路教会办了养老院：博爱养老中心。

笔者10月中旬了解到，为了进一步改善养老中心的养老环境，普兰店区文化路教会再次投资约200万元，对院舍、食堂、院区等基本建设进行了一次大规模的维修，而且建筑了一个连廊，将养员的宿舍和食堂连接起来，这样可以直接进入食堂就餐。
周凤楼长老每个礼拜都要到养老中心去检查施工情况，有的时候上午六点多钟就已经到了事工现场，亲力亲为。他告诉笔者：此次维修、装修，所用的原材料如防水、保温层、涂料等都是挑品牌的、最好的。
此次晚秋二赴博爱养老中心，笔者看到：前期的内外部工程已经竣工，展现在面前的是簇新的外部楼宇。待明年春暖花开之际，中心将继续投资约100余万元装修内部。
博爱养老中心系大连市养老福利协会会员单位，是本着“爱人如己”和“你们要敬重老人，在白发的人面前恭敬侍立”（利未记19章32节）的教导而创建的养老院。
除了大连地区的老人，外省市的老年人，包括尚未信主的，也可以来养老中心养老，享受低价位的收费。
