The Church of England and the CCC&TSPM held a virtual conference on May 27.

The two sides shared their respective anti-pandemic situations and the development of church ministry during the past year, discussing how contacts should resume once COVID-19 is over.

At the invitation of David Urquhart, Bishop of Birmingham and Archbishop of Canterbury’s envoy to China, Rev. Shen Xuebin, deputy president of CCC&TSPM, conducted a video meeting with the bishop and Steven Knott, assistant chief of staff of the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Pastor Shen first asked Bishop Urquhart to convey his greetings to the Archbishop of Canterbury. Then he introduced the current situation of the reopening of Chinese churches under the premise of observing the pandemic prevention measures, hoping that they could resume mutual visits and exchanges as soon as possible after the pandemic is over.

With pleasure to communicate through virtual conference, Bishop Urquhart introduced the situation of churches in England during the COVID-19 period, hoping to continue praying for each other's churches.

The two sides also exchanged views on how to better lead the church, carry out church ministry and pastoral care on believers during the pandemic.
