CCC&TSPM (China Christian Council & Three-Self Patriotic Movement) and the International Lutheran Laymen's League held an online conference on May 27.
During the video conference, the two sides shared their respective works of the past two years, looking forward to future collaboration.
Rev. Shan Weixiang, deputy president and general-secretary of CCC&TSPM, first introduced the current situation of church reopening in China due to effective pandemic prevention. He said that the two sides had maintained friendly relations for nearly 30 years, especially the cooperation in publishing, printing, and other ministries. He also introduced that Ai Ji Printing Press in Shanghai sought a turnaround during the COVID-19 crisis and achieved stable growth in business. Rev. Shan also thanked the Lutheran Laymen's League for their support and assistance to Ai Ji Press over the past years.
Mrs. Gunya Na Thlang, Asian director of the International Lutheran Laymen's League, introduced their ministry and personnel changes and expressed her concern for the ministry of Chinese churches. She appreciated the achievements made by the Chinese government and people from all walks of life in their joint fight against the pandemic, sharing the situation of their local churches after the pandemic.
Chen Hongli, head of the publication group of the Media Ministry of CCC&TSPM, introduced the situation of publication ministry in the past two years and the efforts they made in the promotion and distribution of the Bible and other books after the pandemic.
At the end of the meeting, Pastor Shan expected that the two sides could resume in-person communication as soon as possible when the COVID-19 pandemic is over, inviting the new staff responsible for the Lutheran Laymen's League to visit Chinese churches.

中国基督教协会副会长兼总干事单渭祥牧师首先介绍了国内有效防疫和教会有序开放的近况。他表示,中国基督教两会与国际路德会平信徒联盟近30年来一直保持友好关系,在出版、印刷等事工方面都有良好的合作。并介绍了上海爱基印刷厂在疫情后危机中寻求转机、业务稳中有升的发展近况,感谢国际路德会平信徒联盟在以往多年来对爱基印刷厂的支持与帮助。
国际路德平信徒联盟亚洲区主任陈慧娟女士介绍了路德会平信徒联盟的事工及人事变动情况,表达了对中国教会事工的关心,对中国政府和社会各界上下齐心、共同抗疫并取得的成果表示赞赏,并分享了疫情后当地教会的情况。
中国基督教两会传媒事工部出版发行组组长陈宏俐同工介绍了近两年来的出版事工,及疫情后在圣经和图书推广发行工作上所做的努力。
会议最后,单渭祥牧师表示盼望疫情早日结束,双方能尽快恢复线下交往,并热情邀请国际路德会平信徒联盟新的负责同工访问中国教会。
