The singer and actress said, "I once questioned whether relying on religion is a sign of weakness. At that time, I didn't understand the concept of being 'saved by faith'. Because the Bible says: 'Not of works, lest any man should boast'; I was so confused on how we can gain without hard work."

"Gradually, I took humility as the greatest principle. Humility does not mean we underestimate ourselves, but take more care of others' feelings and needs. I found that my perspective changed when I put down my needs, and I saw my disadvantages, people’s weaknesses and limitations. I can let go of many things I clung to. Now I know I don't need to follow secular values because they might not be the truth. Therefore, I don't need to care about others' perspectives too much. There is a clear direction in my life for me to deal with everything and make decisions," the singer stated.
"The most important thing is that I feel peace being with God in both good times and bad times, and I am more confident than when I was alone. I feel so happy when I no longer struggle to control my life and leave it to God to take care of. These are all the grace of God. He is not only prepared for me, but also for everyone. “我曾经有过疑问，依靠宗教是不是一个表现自己软弱的行为。当时我也不明白圣经里面所说的‘因信得救’的道理。因为圣经里面说‘得救本乎恩’，所以信救恩是最重要的，并不是靠我们的行为。因为圣经里面说：‘不是出于行为，免得有人自夸’。所以我很困惑，不需要靠努力就可以得到了，真是不太明白。”
一个偶然的机会，周慧敏跟朋友谈到了宗教信仰，讲到了耶稣。就在那一刻周慧敏意识到了一个事实：“如果圣经里面所说的话是属实的话，如果我没有信耶稣，我没有接受他的救赎，即使我的个人修为能够达到多好的境界，我仍然是一个没有资格进入天国的人，那是一个很大的损失。我真的不想有这个损失。”
因此，她开始决定以开放的心去了解圣经，先不要去批判。
“我特别想先理解圣经里面所说的‘信’是什么。所以我就去教会，然后看圣经、听讲道，甚至去参加查经小组。当我一步一步了解圣经多一点的时候，我发掘我的人生在一步一步地改变，甚至到了一个地步，我愿意放下我这几十年来所建立的价值观。好像回到了小孩子的阶段，然后向另外一个方向去走。其实真是一件不容易的事，但是神真的有很大的力量，才令我可以走这一步路。”
信主之后，周慧敏发生了很多的改变，其中最明显的改变就是在待人处事上面变得更加的谦卑。
“我逐渐把握到用谦卑的态度，作为我的大原则。但是大家千万不要误会谦卑是要我们小看自己，并不是这个意思。谦卑是令我可以放下自己，看自己小一点，多一点去看顾别人的感受及需要。当我越能够放下自己的时候，我发掘我看事情的角度就不同了。我反而看到更多自己的不足，看到人的软弱以及人的限制。很多我以前的执着一下子可以放下了。现在知道不再需要去按照世俗的价值观作为自己生活的指标，因为我明白了普世价值并不等于真理。所以更不需要执着别人的眼光去处事，有一个很明确的方向。在自己生活的大小事上，知道怎么样去取舍。”
“最重要的是，不论在顺境或是逆境里面，我都会感受到神与我同在的那一份平安。还有一种以前靠个人力量，不能跟现在相比的信心。原来当自己不再挣扎要自己去控制自己的生命，把它交给神去看管运来是这么幸福。这些全部都是神的恩典。祂不是只因我一个人预备的，也是预备给每一个人。我们不需要靠行为、靠辛苦修炼，只要我们愿意去领受就得到了。现在生活里面，不论是在高处还是低处都好，我都依靠祷告、学习交托，去顺服神的旨意，在当中我会看到神的带领，以及看到神怎样在前面为我开路，令我在当中大大地经历祂的同在。”

“因为我当时想，希望用一个适合自己的方式去分享见证。我觉得言语加上音乐的感染力很大，所以我就决定用流行音乐在配上福音的道路去做这一张专辑。这一章专辑的内容全部都是关乎我们生活里面，普通大众都会有共鸣的一些话题，就带出我想要讲出的信息，让大家可以有一个思考。而专辑中还有一首我自己写的歌，是我送给神的。歌的内容就是写有神与我同在的幸福，所以我不惧怕跌倒或者是软弱，因为我知道祂会给我出人意外的平安以及看顾。”
