Yunnan Centennial Church Marks 120th Anniversary

11月15日，云南省大理古城基督教堂举办建堂120周年感恩庆典。云南省、大理市基督教领袖讲话并祝贺，来自大理州各县市的弟兄姊妹也献上各具民族特色的诗歌和舞蹈。

据中国基督教两会，云南大理古城基督教堂位于云南省大理白族自治州大理市古城内，是全省保存最古老和完整的教堂建筑，至今已有120年的历史。教堂即保持着西欧教堂的风格，又具有浓郁的白族传统建筑特色，外墙体现了大理“石头砌墙墙不倒”的建筑特色。对研究基督教在云南地区的传播、宗教建筑艺术具有较高价值，是基督教在大理传播、发展的历史见证。

崇拜聚会在云南省基督教协会会长邓建伟的祝福中圆满结束。

On November 15, Gucheng Church in Dali, Yunnan Province, commemorated its 120th anniversary.

Christian leaders from Yunnan Province and Dali City extended their congratulations, while believers from various counties and cities across Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture participated with hymns of praise and traditional ethnic dances.

According to the CCC&TSPM, Gucheng Church, situated in the ancient city of Dali within the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province, is the oldest fully preserved church building in the province, with a 120-year history. The church blends the style of Western European churches with traditional Bai architectural elements, exemplifying the distinctive Dali architectural characteristics: "Fat pebble walls won’t fall." It holds significant value for the study of Christianity in Yunnan and religious architectural art, serving as a historical testament to the spread and development of Christianity in Dali.

The worship service concluded with a blessing from Rev. Deng Jianwei, chairperson of the Yunnan Provincial Christian Council.
