The Sichuan Provincial CC&TSPM held the ordination and promotion ceremony for the second half of 2023.

On December 10 and 17, Sichuan CC&TSPM promoted ten curates and ordained three preachers as pastors, according to CCC&TSPM.

Prior to the ordination (including promotion), the provincial CC&TSPM organized a tasked team to conduct on-site surveys and gather opinions in ten cities and autonomous prefectures according to the "Measures of the Administration of Religious Personnel" and “Measures for the Recognition of Professional Qualifications of Christian Clergy in China.” Staff workers to be ordained (or promoted) were evaluated against promotion criteria. Following the publicity procedures, a related report was submitted for filing with the provincial Ethnic and Religious Committee.

All the staff to be ordained and promoted signed the commitment to “Strict Governance of Religions and Correct Atmosphere of Religions” before the ceremony.
