An opening ceremony for a Christian volunteer training class was conducted in Qingdao City, Shandong Province.

The 20th volunteer training class of the Qingdao Municipal CC&TSPM was initiated at Qinghe Road Church in Shibei District, with the participation of more than 80 people, said the organizer.

During the ceremony, Rev. Gao Yongliang, president of Qingdao Christian Council, preached a sermon titled “Renew Life and Live for the Lord," citing Romans 12:1–2, with an elaboration on the renewal of life from three aspects. He emphasized starting from within, putting on the new self, reflecting changes through actions, and fulfilling responsibilities at God’s will.

Subsequently, Rev. Sun Wenle exhorted the students to acquire knowledge through deep reflection and serve society better.

Regarding the enrollment of this volunteer training class, there were 80 students, selected from three districts within the city. Among them, 45% hold an associate degree or higher, and 38% are below the age of 50. Over the course of two semesters, these students would study nine different courses.
